BREAKING EXCLUSIVE Local Man Charged with Assault Child Injured

A local man was arrested for suspectedly injuring a young child, sources told the Orange Street News.

Richard E Wagner Jr has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Endangering the Welfare of Children, according to court papers.

Local Police arrested Wagner in Selinsgrove.

A 7-week old child had a head injury on South Market Street. It is believed the baby will make a full recovery, according to sources.

The suspected crimes occurred yesterday, according to court papers.

Bail has been set at $25,000 unsecured.

The Orange Street News is investigating. No one was answered the door at Wagner’s home. The OSN is withholding the name of the baby.

In September Wagner was profiled by a local paper after the Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way had him speak at a fundraiser as a young teen father who received help.

The police refused to comment to the OSN.
