“Bootlegging” Sunbury Woman Arrested for Allegedly Trying to Record Halloween Movie

A Sunbury women was arrested after attempting to film the movie Halloween on her cell phone on October 19 2018, according to police.
Holly Ann Preist, 35 was busted after attempting to record the scary blockbuster at the theater in the Susquehanna Valley Mall, in Monroe Township. An alert employee noticed she was filming and that’s when a manager called the police to come to the theater.
“When I arrived at the scene, the manager escorted me to the theater that the movie Halloween was playing in. Once inside the theater I observed a female recording the movie on her cellular telephone. I then removed the female from the theater and identified her as the defendant, Holly Ann Priest. Priest admitted to recording the entire movie up until she was removed from the theater,” read the criminal complaint.
The full charges against Priest were: “Unlawful operation of recording device in motion picture. In that on or about said date, The defendant did intentionally operate a recording device in the theater without written authority or permission from the motion picture theater owner.”
A hearing will be held on, 11/21 at 11:15, at 1025 us rt 522, in Selinsgrove Pa.
