A Ashland woman was charged after stealing fifty four items from a local Walmart on October 12 2018, according to police.
Jean Ann Steele, 51, stole $347.00 worth of merchandise at Walmart at 980 N Susquehanna, in Monroe Township.
“They related that Steele seated a bag/purse held for sale and then began filling it with multiple items. Asset protection related they followed Steele for approx. 2 hours until she attempted to leave through the grocery exit without paying for the merchandise,” read the criminal complaint.
According to police this was not the first time Steele was caught. Police say she had plead guilty to a retail theft in the past.
Steele was charged with retail theft.
A hearing will be held on 11/21, at 11:00, at 1025 us rt 522, in Selinsgrove Pa.
LOL. So they DO have workers. When they got rid of cashiers I thought robots took over.. LOL
