11-year old Detained at Boscov’s! EXCLUSIVE!
Popular Daily Item Columnist Detained for Walking Alone!! Store says Sorry!!

Isabel Lysiak, 11, also known as Ask Izzy, the kids columnist for the Daily Item, was detained in Boscov’s Department Store at the Susquehanna Valley Mall on April 1st.
The trouble began after a manager at the makeup counter grabbed her arm and held her down in a chair because she was walking alone.
“It was scary,” Izzy told the News. “I was just walking around and a lady grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go. She kept asking me where my parents were.”
Izzy called her mom, Bridget, who was waiting outside in the car. Bridget went inside and yelled at the Boscov’s manager until Izzy was freed.
Management at Boscov’s said sorry to Izzy and Bridget and said that 11-year-olds were allowed to walk around the store by themselves.
“The manager said she was just protecting my child, but she was the one my child needed protection from,” Bridget told the News.
The family still shops at Boscov’s.
