Selinsgrove is getting a fifth police officer!
Last night the Borough Council stated they will have a fifth cop within three months.
“We are going through the process,” Selinsgrove Mayor Jeff Reed told the Orange Street News. “We are hoping for May 1st.”
Currently, there are only four police officers in the town of 5,000. That is not enough.
Vandalism is on the rise all over the community.
Vandals have been ripping up plants, egging houses, and menacing businesses.
Even drugs have been found at the local parks.
The police say there are doing everything they can to stop the vandal.
“I hope it helps,” one resident told the Orange Street News. “Something has to be done to stop all of this crime.”
