Selinsgrove Police caught their man!
The menacing plant vandal that has been terrorizing Selinsgrove for months may have finally been stopped!
Selinsgrove Chief of Police Thomas Garlock told the Orange Street News that law enforcement witnessed the vandal tearing up the plants 2am in the morning.
Police wouldn’t reveal his name or age, but said it was a man.
Police also wouldn’t say if the vandal was connected to the rash of Selinsgrove crimes.
The man would face a $200 to $300 fine, according to Garlock.
THIS IS BREAKING STORY: CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES!
The plant haters struck the Selinsgrove Commons several times last month, tipping one of the large planters over, spreading a mess of dirt everywhere, and making off with a large shrub.
Cases of vandalism have been on the rise in Selinsgrove.
Menaces have been tearing up plants, stealing lights, egging houses, defacing gravestones, damaging local businesses, and even leaving drugs at the park.
The Borough promises a fifth police officer will be on patrol this Spring.
