Now that the Susquehanna Female College building has been completely demolished its owner says he has no ideas yet on what to do with the large property.
“We have no plans for the property at this time,” owner Scott Shaffer told the Orange Street News.
During the destruction they did make an unexpected discovery. Workers found marble window sills that they didn’t know existed, according to Shaffer.
The large building on North Market Street was a College before being turned into an apartment building.
Most of the lumber was hauled away and is going to be used to make new houses, according to Shaffer.
“It was getting to be quite an eyesore,” owner Scott Shaffer told the Orange Street News.
“Maybe we can build an Apple store at the spot,” he joked.
