Grove Gun Thief Caught!

The Selinsgrove gun thief has finally been nabbed!

On July 8 Brandon Betancourt was caught in Lancaster, PA. Betancourt swiped a Smith and Wesson M&P from High Velocity Firearms at 8 N. Market St on Friday May 13th.

I’m happy he was caught,” Gun shop owner John Margel told the Orange Street News.

His accomplice, Daniel J. Keenan, 26, was nabbed last month and is in Snyder County Prison on $100,000 bail. He faces up to six felony counts of retail theft, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.

Betancourt was arraigned and bail was set at $200,000.

“The Selinsgrove police did an excellent job,” added Margel.
