New Media Website Hits Grove!

A new media website has hit Selinsgrove!
The website, Selinsgrove Concerned Citizens, was launched last month by Grove resident, Vincent Stoops. Stoops plans on posting stories about the community as well as live streaming borough council meetings.
“It is going to be based on the politics and events, too,” Stoops told the Orange Street News.
Along with the Orange Street News, the new website will mean residents will have two sources of news that exclusively cover Selinsgrove.
Stoops says that the more news sites the better in Selinsgrove.
“Competition is good. When people compete it helps people work harder,” said Stoops.
For years Stoops has run the Facebook page, also called Selinsgrove Concerned Citizens. During that time Stoops has broken several exclusive stories and has over one thousands people following his site.
But not everyone is fan. Stoops became controversial for stances against Borough leaders.
In one of his first story Stoops posted an exclusive story claiming that the Borough Council President was making unethical hires. In another story he claimed to find evidence that “SU Trashes Downtown.”
Stoops welcomes the debate from both fans and critics.
“They are welcome to respond,” said Stoops. “Criticism is okay.”
