A south Williamsport man was charged with retail theft after allegedly attempting to steal over $500.00 in electronics from a local Wal-Mart on August 10.
Millard S Beatty lll, 30, allegedly attempted to steal a TV box, a security spider wire mesh, and two picture frames but was caught when employees at the Monroe Township store saw that the Security spider wire mesh was still attached to the TV box and alerted security.
“On this date he observed a W/M/N later identified as Millard S Beatty lll exiting the Wal-Mart store via the Grocery exit with a cart containing a Boxed Television set between two large picture frames. (employee) stated that he saw the security spider web still attached to the Television box and alerted another store employee,” read the criminal complaint.
Beatty was charged with retail theft.
A hearing will be held on 8/15 at the Union county courthouse Lewisburg PA.
