Police are still on the hunt for the Selinsgrove bank robber.
The OSN has learned that officers are still searching for the man who allegedly robbed the Northumberland National Bank on the 400 block of North Market Street in Selinsgrove. The robbery happened at around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The man went up to the teller with a note in his hand and grabbed some cash from the worker’s hands before driving off in a blue sedan. No one was hurt during the robbery.
Police describe the robber as a white man, approximately 30-45 years old, about 5’6″ tall, medium to medium heavy build. He was wearing a blue parka with white stripes down sleeves, blue jeans, and rimmed glasses.
Police were at the scene looking for fingerprints off the glass.
Police at the scene refused to comment to the OSN.
“Stay away from the door,” one officer said.
Bank employees stayed inside the building being interviewed by police until nearly 6:30 pm. The OSN approached the employees as they walked to their car to ask what happened but they refused to comment.
