A Selinsgrove man was charged after allegedly falsely claiming his car was stolen while drunk.
John William Felker, allegedly called police on 3/26/19 stating that his car was stolen after he parked it at Weis Markets in Selinsgrove Pa. When police arrived to the scene they soon realized that he was intoxicated.
“While speaking with Felker a strong oder of Alcohol was emunating from mouth and slurred speech and staggering. Eyes were blood shot. This officer asked Felker if he had been drinking and Felker stated one. […] At this time Felker was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of Alcohol. […] Felker in back stated several times all he did was drive for pretzels and tortilla chips. And someone moved his vehicle,” read the criminal complaint.
The vehicle was located in the Weis parking lot.
Felker was charged with DUI.
A hearing will be held on 5/13, at 9:45, at 1025 us rt 522, in Selinsgrove Pa.
