Local Coffee Shop Shuts Doors – Claims Can’t Ensure Customer Safety.

The Gathering Grounds says that the number of out of towners coming through the door have led them to shut down the popular coffee shop for the month of April.
According to employee Crystal Donaldson, it is about protecting each other, and the community.
“We don’t know who is coming in and out and where they have been. People are still touring so closing is the best way to protect ourselves,” Donaldson told the Orange Street News.
A sign posted outside the door announcing the closure read: “Through we are trying our very best to keep safe and healthy while continuing to serve our community, we cannot ensure that all those who enter our doors are.”
Recently Patagonia was declared to be in a state of emergency. Businesses have not been forced to close, but are asked to take precautions.
