Message from Hilde — Christmas Charity
Dear Readers,
Last year, my sister and I raised money for charity. We made and sold Rainbow loom bracelets. We were able to make $600 to donate to Synder County Children and Youth. With the money we raised, we bought Christmas gifts for children in need. My Dad actually dropped my sister and I off at Wal-Mart and we shopped for the presents. Then, when we came home, my whole family helped wrap them by the Christmas tree. It made me feel very lucky for everything I have.
With Thanksgiving on its way, I think people should spend time thinking about all they have. There are many people in the world who don’t have a lot. A lot of times we take for granted all the stuff we have. It’s time to be thankful and give back!
This year, instead of making bracelets, I am selling advertising). I’m really excited because if I can raise a lot of money like last year, I know there will be many new smiling faces on Christmas morning.
