Selinsgrove or “old town Selin’s Grove?”
If Selinsgrove Chamber of Commerce President Helen Walters has her way downtown Selinsgrove is about to have a name change
“So many people think Selinsgrove is just the strip, but if it was called old town Selin’s Grove they would realize that there is this nice charming town,” Walters told the Orange Street News.
Walters has been passing out flyers trying to promote the new name.
“It’s a magical place were local business owners have a passion for quality and service,” the flyer reads.
Selinsgrove was founded in 1776 and is named after Anthony Selin, a Swiss soldier.
