Christmas Tree Lighting Tonight!

It may still be two days until Thanksgiving — but tonight Selinsgrove is officially kicking off the Christmas season!
The festivities begin at 6:30 pm at the Selinsgrove Commons, at the corner of N Market St & W Pine St.
Here is the schedule..
- The Flag Ceremony will be done by Cub Scout Pack 3419
- “Jingle Bell Rock” Music by the 4th Grade Ensemble
- Pastor David Shultz will do the “Inspiration.”
- Music by the High School Chorale
- “Proclamation” by Mayor Jeff Reed
- Kay Spigelmyer and Rikki Springfellow will Light the Tree!
- The night will conclude with Silent Night and We Wish you a Merry Christmas.
The event is held by the Selinsgrove Chamber of Commerce, who expects a lot of people.
“At least three hundred people!” Helen Walter, President of the Chamber of Commerce told the Orange Street News
Selinsgrove is bracing for an epic Christmas!
The list of Holiday Happenings is full:
*Festivities will kick off with the Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 2s at the Selinsgrove Commons!
*Family Fun in the Grove takes place this year onSaturday Dec. 3rd with the Santa Sprint 5K at 9am, The Stocking Stuffer will be at Graci’s Flowers from 10am to 145pm. The Santa Pets Parade where animals march down the street will begin at 2pm.
* Late Shoppers night will be Dec 6th and will include “art, music and seasonal treats.”.
Selinsgrove even has its very own holiday song. Isabel Lysiak ‘s “Christmas in Selinsgrove” will soon be available at stores all over the Grove. Full disclosure, Isabel is the sister of the publisher
