Santa Claus may be disguising himself as The Snyder County Services this year, at least for dozens of local boys and girls.
Here is how it works: the Snyder County Services Christmas Fund gets a wish list of what local children want and need. Then, in September through the beginning of December, they take donations.
‘’It’s part of what Christmas is about for them [the children],’’ Lori Weir, the social service aid at Snyder County Children and Youth, told the OSN.
Weir told the OSN that this Christmas the agency will be able to help more than 160 children!
Although Snyder County Children and Youth accept donations for presents before Christmas time, other items like gently used coats and hats as well as personal care items like soaps and deodorants, and towels and washcloths are accepted year round.
Cash donations can always be made by writing a check to CSCF and writing special needs fund on it. Mail to 713 Bridge St. Suite 15, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
‘’I think it’s really important to the children,’’ Lori Weir told the OSN.
