Bring your sweet tooth Selinsgrove!
After a great success, the Selinsgrove “chocolate stroll” will hit local businesses April 1st.
Hundreds of people will be walking around downtown Selinsgrove and exploring new businesses, with each merchant will offer free chocolates.
This year will have some notable differences. People 18 years or older can get a “chocolate passport,” a document which each business will stamp. If they go to at least to ten business than they will be entered in a drawing for these prizes:
A pair of tickets for the July 15th “Hops, Vines, & Wines Festival”**; One night stay in the Selinsgrove Inn’s Jacuzzi Room**; 1 dozen gourmet cupcakes from Bella’s Bliss Bakery; 1/2 Hour Massage at Flip Salon & Spa; Gift Certificate from Keller’s Beer**; Fresh Floral Arrangement from Graci’s Flowers; Custom Designed Decorative Pillow from the Cottage on Pine; Choice of Pie from Tudor House Pies; $25 Weis Gift Card. Winners will be notified to redeem prize at business. Picture ID required to claim prize.
Chamber of Commerce President Helen Walter told the Orange Street News that the chocolate stroll isn’t just good for sweet tooth — but also for local business.
“It brings people to the businesses and it gives people a chance to walk around and discover new businesses,” said Walter.
Like last year, people can vote on the business that had there favorite treat. Last year Emma’s food for life was the grand prize winner.
“Everyone likes chocolate,” Walter told the OSN.
Here are the participating businesses.
