Two Woman “Jumped” Outside of Local Pizza Place

A Sunbury woman was charged with assault after she and a friend allegedly assaulted a woman outside of Papa John’s at 6617 Park Road in Monroe Township on August 21, according to police.
The trouble began when Jenna Marie Kemper and Martha Corrine Finnan were walking west on Park Road toward Kemper’s house. Suddenly, Finnan was tackled by a man she believed to be Brian Sim, according to police. After tackling Finnan, Sim knocked the glasses off of her face and then stomped on them before fleeing, according to police.
Kemper and Finnan tried to continue walking home, when a silver car pulled up and they were attacked a second time.
That time Sim was joined by Kaileigh Jean Soto, 29, who allegedly struck Finnan several times in the face before stealing her phone.
“Victim Martha Corrine Finnan who related that they were walking west on park road in the area of Papa John’s when they were ‘jumped.’ The victim was tackled my a man believed to be Brian Sims. Sims knocked the victim’s glasses off her face and stomped on them. Sims then left the area. Kaileigh Jean Soto, pulled up in a silver car and got out.
Soto attacked the victim by striking her several times with her fist. During the course of the assault Soto stole the victims Samsun telephone,” read the criminal complaint.
In addition to assault, Soto was also charged with theft, and receiving stolen property.
A hearing will be held on 9/28 at 11:00 at 1025 RT 522, Selinsgrove PA.
