A Lebanon man was busted at the Susquehanna Valley Mall after allegedly attempting to steal a vehicle that had a tracking device on it from a business on 10/25/17.
Ryan Kenneth Smith, 30, allegedly came into Fair Child Brothers Inc asking for a job. But soon after Smith walked out, employees noticed the company car had gone missing. The company car had a tracking device and employees gave police a description and that the car was parked at the Susquehanna Valley Mall, according to the criminal complaint.
Police went into the mall searching for a “bald” “six foot tall male” wearing a “dark colored shirt” when they found someone matching that description.
“I came across a male inside of the Verizon store fitting the description of the suspect. While speaking to the suspect I asked to see his ID. While giving me his ID, I could see that the suspect had a card froom Fairchild Brother INC in his money clip.”
Smith was charged with Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.
Smith was unavailable for comment.
