A Winfield women was charged with theft after she allegedly stole money from the business where she worked on 08/30/17, according to police.
Mary Ruth Spigelmayer, 18, allegedly stole $2600 out of the cash register from Target department store in Monroe Township, while working. She was caught after her alleged swiping ways were spotted by employees on video footage.
“Mary Ruth Spigelmeyer, the defendent, was observed on video surveillance taking money out of the cash register and putting in her pockets and purse,” read the criminal complaint.
“I interviewed Spigelmayer confessed to stealing money out of the cash register and putting it in her pocket or purse. Spigelmayer related she had done this 2-3 times prior,” read the criminal complaint.
Spigelmayer was charged with receiving stole property, theft, and more.
A hearing will be held on 12/07 at 10:15 at 1025 us Rt 522 in Selinsgrove.
