A Watsontown man was charged with possession after he was allegedly found with two syringes in his jacket while visiting Snyder County on 11/29/17, according to police.
Chad Bryan Stamm, 37, was allegedly caught with the needles while visiting a friend when a probation officer stopped by and discovered two hypodermic syringes in Stamm’s coat pocket. Stamm later admitted to police that he had just visited “a known drug user’s house” before arriving in Snyder County.
“XXX stated that the coat containing the syringes was not hers and she didn’t know the defendant had the syringes while visiting her. The defendant admitted that the coat containing the syringes was his and he was at a known drug users house prior to coming to XXX’s house,” read the criminal complaint.
Stamm was charged with Possession.
A hearing will be held on 12/26, at 1:30, at 1025 us rt 522.
Glad I don’t have those issues. I regularly have syringes on my person, as I raise livestock and give them shots when needed as well as having one prescription injection medicine of my own. I also use syringes without needles to administer oral medicines to my livestock, and go through a couple of dozen a month. I will re-use the needleless syringes to administer oral medicines, but each needle is single use.
Personally, I don’t think it is anybody’s business what I or anybody else wish to inject myself/themselves with. Freedom includes the freedom to be stupid, and to regulate/criminalize such behavior is contrary to freedom. The opposite of freedom is? Welcome to the USSA.
I know you are young, and I encourage you to pursue your journalism career, but realize that the truth is rarely told these days. Hackers have become journalists (wikileaks etc…) and journalists have become hacks.
Keep at it.
