A drunken man on an mobility scooter was arrested after allegedly knocking over store displays and threatening to mow down employees at the Shamokin Dam Wal Mart on August 12, according to police.
Employees told police that Darrien had been “running into several store displays with the mobility scooter and had verbally berated several Walmart employees, swearing at them and threatening to run them over with the scooter.”
Roy Lee Darrien, 61, from Sunbury, was sent into a furious rage after seeing the long checkout lines, according to police
When the officer arrived Darrien told them that “he did not feel like he should have to wait his turn,” according to police.
Darrien was charged with Disorderly Conduct,
But his troubles didn’t end there.
After being cited, police watched as Darrien got into his 2002 Lincoln Town car and began driving away before cutting off two drivers in the parking lot.
The officer pulled Darrien over and asked him to take failed a field sobriety test. Darrien failed.
Darrien was then charged with Disorderly Conduct and Careless Driving.
Darrien was not available for comment.
A hearing will be held on 11/14 at 9am at 1025 US 522 in Selinsgrove.
