EXCLUSIVE Local Woman Charged with Stealing from Elderly to “Pay Bills”

A Northumberland women was charged after allegedly stealing $600.00 from a 73-year old women’s bank account on 07/03/18, according to police.
Traci Anne Bordner, 41, was allegedly caught forging withdrawal slips on various occasions from the account of Mary Zimmerman. Bordner was a family friend of the women and would help the women on occasion until she was busted stealing the withdrawal slips.
Bordner admitted she stole the monkey and said she needed it to pay bills, according to police.
“Bordner related she successfully withdrew $300.00 on 06/04/18 and another $300.00 from Zimmerman’s (the 73 year old women) account on 06/08/18. Bordner related she kept this money to pay bills. Bordner further related she attempted to withdraw another $400.00 with a forged withdraw form from another occasion, though the bank would not allow her to,” read the criminal complaint.
Bordner was charged with, forgery, identity theft, and more.
A hearing will be held at 1025 us rt 522, in Selinsgrove Pa, on 12/11, at 1:30.
