Portland Man Allegedly Swipes Office Supplies From Local Business

A Portland man was charged after allegedly stealing $110.00 worth of merchandise from a Penn Township business on 10/12/18, according to police.
Christian Loan Butnaru, 62, was on shift unloading products off a truck for Stauffer Bros flooring. But when no body was looking, Butnaru was allegedly caught on video stealing tape and shrink wrap, according to police.
“Butnaru stole several office supply items including 18 rolls of tape and 1 roll of shrink wrap […] the business was unaware of the theft until several days later […] Butnaru is seen on video footage stealing the items by throwing them into the back of his trailer,” read the criminal complaint.
Butnaru was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition.
A hearing will be held at 1025 us rt 522, in Selinsgrove Pa, on 11/26, at 10:00.
