Woman Invites Men to Stay Over Then Awakens to Find Guests Gone and Car Missing

A man was charged after allegedly stealing and damaging a car before dumping it off on the side of RT 11 on 10/6/18, according to police.
Police responded to a call at 12 Minton Drive in Snyder County and were told by the woman who lives there that her 2016 Toyota Sedan had been found on the side of the road at RT 11 with its doors open and no one in the car.
Police later found the alleged victim, who claimed that James Edward Thiemann, 21, was staying over with two other people at her house. But when she woke up, the people her guests were gone — and so was her car.
“She [VICTIM] stated that James Edward Thiemann who is herein refereed to as the defendant of this incident was at her residence on the early hours of 10/6/18. She stated that the defendant came with two other known individuals and the three of them wanted to stay at the victims residence, which she consented to. The victim stated that she woke up approximately 0230 hours on 10/6/18 and found the defendant was not in her residence, her car and house keys taken from her tv stand where she keeps them, and her vehicle missing from her drive way,” read the criminal complaint.
VICTIM’s vehicle was later found with, a damaged windshield, a dent in the hood, the front bumper damage, the side passenger damaged, the arm rest ripped off from the interior, the center screen smashed, and the key was broken off from the fob.
Thiemann was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and more.
