A Selinsgrove man was charged after allegedly stabbing and strangling his wife because she did not go to work on 11/29/18 at 652 fair oak road, according to police.
Ricky Lee Spriggle, 50, allegedly attempted to choke his wife until she could not breath, and stab her with a power drill. This was after weeks of non stop arguing between Spriggle and his wife, according to police.
“He came into her room and began yelling at her about why she did not go into work today. She related that he then grabbed ahold of her and they fell into the closet. […] [VICTIM] related that he had got on top of her and grabbed her be the throat and pressed his motorcycle helmet against her lower chest. {VICTIM} related that she was having trouble breathing while he held her by the throat,” read the criminal complaint.
Spriggle then ran to his shed and got supplies to put a lock on his door. As Spriggle was coming up the steps he allegedly became angry again.
“She related to me that he grabbed ahold of her and slammed her head against a wall and took her inside of his bedroom. […] Ricky grabbed her by the neck and took his cordless drill and jammed it into her stomach and arm. […] related that he had turned the drill on while he had pressed it into her stomach,” read the criminal complaint.
Spriggle was charged with Simple assault, Strangulation, Harassment, and more.
A hearing will be held at 1025 us rt 522, in Selinsgrove Pa, at 12/17, at 11:30.
