Selinsgrove police are still hunting for an armed bandit who struck the Northumberland National Bank on the 400 block of North Market Street in Selinsgrove on Wednesday afternoon.
“He’s still on the loose,” chief Tom Garlock told the Orange Street News.
The man went up to the teller with a note in his hand and grabbed some cash from the worker’s hands before driving off in a blue sedan. No one was hurt during the robbery.
Bank employees stayed inside the building being interviewed by police until nearly 6:30 pm. The OSN approached the employees as they walked to their car to ask what happened but they refused to comment.
Police describe the robber as a white man, approximately 30-45 years old, about 5’6″ tall, medium to medium heavy build. He was wearing a blue parka with white stripes down sleeves, blue jeans, and rimmed glasses.
