A man from Beaver Springs driving an ambulance was charged after allegedly driving an ambulance while under the influence, on 11/01/18, according to police.
Kevin Scott Bickhart, 48, was charged after allegedly driving an ambulance when he crashed into a large rock. When police pulled Bickhart over they noticed strange behavior from him.
“I immediantly observed that his speech was slurred, and his response was slow. As Bickhart was talking to me I observed him wiping his face multiple times and I watched his eyes open and close slowly. I did not observe anything on Bickhart’s face to be wiping off. As I was asking Bickhart just ions he was nodding off to sleep. I asked Bickhart if he was on any medication. Bickhart related that he was on multiple prescribed pain, anxiety and sleep medications. […] I asked Bickhart what happened and he related that he was driving and got into some loose dirt which caused the vehicle to go off the roadway. Upon my investigation, I did not observe any loose dirt on the paved roadway,” read the criminal complaint.
Bickhart was found to be on multiple pain medication.
Bickhart also claimed that he left his drivers license at home.
Bickhart was charged with Driving Under The Influence, Not Carrying a Drivers License, Careless Driving, and more.
