A Selinsgrove man was charged with Simple Assault after he allegedly gave a man a fractured eye.
David A. Kitchens, 23, and another man allegedly assaulted James Brain after he was asked to leave a Sunbury bar, leaving him with a bleeding arm and fractured eye in the parking lot of the Selinsgrove Hotel.
“I arrived and observed a male sitting on the side walk and female on the phone with the county. Male is identified as James Brain….Brain stated that two males assaulted him in parking lot. This officer observed Brain with a possible left eye fracture and bleeding from left arm,” read the criminal complaint.
Brain says that he was taking Kitchen’s mom to the Selinsgrove Hotel when the assault happened.
“Victim…transported Dawn Kitchens from Sunbury to the Selinsgrove Hotel. Once at Hotel Suspect Kitchens and another unidentified Male got out of the vehicle (red grand am) and started assaulting the victim,” read the criminal complaint.
Kitchens was charged with Harassment along with other charges.
A hearing will be held at 11/22 at 10:00am at 1025 US rt 522.
