A Selinsgrove man was charged with assault after allegedly choking his girlfriend until she “could not breathe” on 12/10/17, according to police.
Francisco Javier Thomas, 30, allegedly attacked his girlfriend after she told him that she wanted to leave with their children. Thomas allegedly strangled her, threw her on the floor, and hit her, according to police.
“This victim related a mutual verbal argument about their children turned physical when her boyfriend (defendant) had strangled her when she was sitting on the couch then threw her on the ground where he then strangled and hit her again because she wanted to leave with her children. The victim related while being strangled she could not breathe,” read the criminal complaint.
Thomas was charged with strangulation and simple assault.
A hearing will be held on 12/29 at 1:15 at 1025 us rt 522 in Selinsgrove.
