Two potted planters were swiped off of residents property in Selinsgrove Friday night.
The two incidents happened only blocks away from each other.
Grove resident Lisa Womer told the Orange Street News that she woke up Saturday morning to discover that someone had swiped one of her three heavy pots right off her Pine Street property.
“I don’t appreciate someone taking my stuff,” Womer told the Orange Street News.
Womer says she filed a police report but hasn’t heard back from law enforcement yet.
A few blocks away another Grove resident had a planter she was given as a memorial from her father’s funeral stolen.
“I want to thank the HEARTLESS JERK who stole a planter like this, with purple and yellow pansies in it, off my porch,” she wrote on Facebook. “It was a very thoughtful gift from my neighbor when my dad died…you are really pathetic.”
Menaces have been tearing up plants, stealing lights, egging houses, defacing gravestones, damaging local businesses, and even leaving drugs at the park.
It has gotten so bad that police have told residents to keep their cars in their garage to prevent damage.
On April 2nd, a Susquehanna University student was arrested for ripping up a plant at the Commons. In an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW the student confessed his crime to the OSN but said it was only a one time act.
The Orange Street News is offering a $50 cash reward for information that leads to the safe return of the planters.

I am going to have a talk with SU president. I think it is time to close SU. SU attracts too many undesirables to our area. This isnt the exception- this happens every few days now. Residents ought to file a class action lawsuit against the college so that they dont let in the criminals. Or better yet- shariah law- where the hand is cut off of the thief.
