Homemade bolonga from a Selinsgrove butcher shop has gone national with people coming from all around the country to grab a ring for the holidays.
Troutman’s Meat Market employee told the OSN that the meat market at 195 Spruce Street expects to sell 800 rings of their homemade bologna just between the Christmas and New Year’s season with people coming from places like Georgia and Florida all for a taste of bologna.
“This time of year, it [ the orders] could rang from 2 rings of bologna to 5 rings of bologna [ per order],” Leah Dawes told the Orange Street News.
Customers say the reason they flock to the bologna because it is the best.
“I’ve tried a lot of different places, but this is the best one,” customer Denise Enery told the Orange Street News.
Troutman’s has a location / store in Middleburg, where all of their meat is made. The meat then gets taken to Selinsgrove, where the food is then served to Troutman’s customers.
Do they ship?

I use this type sausage to craft my signature Jambalaya. I’d like to purchase some Troutman’s ‘ring bologna’ for a near future batch. I make a special batch just for the Easter feast so I’ll need some pretty soon. I would like to patronize a local Selinsgrove business, especially upon the recommendation of a truly honest, hard-working, inquisitive young cub reporter such as Ms Lysiak. Would you please pass my request to the good people at the butcher shop along with my email address so we can figure out how to get ‘er done?
Thanks,
Joe
PS I could be talked into overnight airmailing a sample of the above referenced Jambalaya for your editorial review and comment, Ms Lysiak. I very much look forward to supporting your endeavors.
