The Orange Street News has learned there will be no ice skating this year in Selinsgrove!
Officials tell the Orange Street News they have given up on opening the popular ice skating rink Little Norway because of the warm weather.
“It’s a shame,” a worker for the Borough told the Orange Street News.
Last year the free rink at 101 E. Sassafras St. opened up to the public during the second week of January.
The popular ice rink is staffed and maintained 100 percent by volunteers Skaters were hoping for a quick weather turnaround.
Even the unforgettable January blizzard that brought a foot of snow to the area wasn’t enough to freeze the ice.
“Its disappointing,” said Matthew, a Selinsgrove resident.
