A mother driving her small child home from daycare was shot at by what was believed to be a BB gun on October 7th at University Ave on Selinsgrove.
The trouble started Friday night between 10pm and 10:30 after Ange Sobczyk picked her kids up from daycare and was driving by two frat houses when she suddenly she heard a loud bang. She got out of the car and noticed that her vehicle was damaged with small dents.
“She hit her brakes, stopped the car, and called the police when she noticed the hole looking dent on her car’’, Nancy Tracy, Ange’s mother, told the OSN.
The shot hit only inches below the window where the young child was sitting, but luckily no one was injured in the shooting.
“She is assuming that college students did it just for fun. She doesn’t feel like it was a personal attack, just wrong place at the wrong time,” said Tracy.
Sobczyk was unavailable for comment, but her mother believes someone needs to pay.
“I’m angry that someone put the safety of my daughter and grandsons in jeopardy. I feel like they need to be held accountable for what they have done, because even though it could of been worse- it still was dangerous. No one should have to be put in a position that they don’t feel safe driving down a street,” Tracy told the OSN.
The police were contacted, and interviewed witnesses at both houses but no one admitted the crime, according to Tracy.
“The police stated that they interviewed the people in the two frat houses and no one confessed, so his hands were tied. It was now a he said/she said incident,” said Tracy.
